We love to see families with their children who entertain themselves on our play ground, interacting with our free ranging chickens and on our sandy, safe beach. For the romantics, Quesnel Lake awe inspiring sunsets and beachcombing. We are surrounded by pristine wilderness. Please note that means we are off the grid and on a generator which provides our power. WIFI is available during hours of operations, which can vary. We are pet friendly.

Once, in the geological past of the planet, Quesnel Lake was an inlet and connected to the Pacific. From the west and the little settlement of Likely, with a fascinating Cariboo Gold Rush history, to the eastern reaches and the high peaks of Wells Grey Provincial Park, this is a true British Columbia wilderness lake, surrounded by forest and with secluded, long sandy beaches!

The north arm of Quesnel Lake reaches into the snow topped mountains of the BC Rockies. The waters here are teeming with some very big fish; Rainbow Trout and Lake Trout. The Mitchell River empties into the north end of the lake here and it is not a rare occurrence to see grizzly bears roaming the banks, to catch spawning salmon during their annual runs. The salmon spawning runs in the local rivers are among the most spectacular in British Columbia.

Join our little community of “permanents” who enjoy RV Camping at Plato Island Resort and Marina. Set up your RV on one of our serviced sites for the season and do not worry about winter storage. Structures and decks are allowed (with prior approval)

At Plato Island Resort and Marina, our comfortable and clean cabins offer a fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ on the deck, a fire pit, and picnic table. All our cabins now feature newly renovated full bathrooms. Cabins #1 and #2 have a queen bed and 2 single bunks.
