Field BC, is the last outpost for British Columbia and there we were greeted with our first real treat in the wildlife department. Elk. They were not by the side of the road, a frozen shallow body of water separated us, but we could see them and one certainly saw us and stared back.
The mountain scenery never failed to make an impression.
Although pressed for time, we had to stop in Banff. I had heard the town site had been developed beyond its quaint size and I wanted to explore.
