Looking for Indoor Tennis while travelling on the Sunshine Coast? The Suncoast Racquet Club has opened the only indoor tennis facility on the Sunshine Coast, offering residents from Pender Harbour, Sechelt, Roberts Creek, Gibsons and Langdale an affordable year round option. Currently it is available only to members for court bookings, however it is open to the general public in regards to clinics, workshops and specific drop in times. The club anticipates it will be available for specific time bookings to the general public sometime in the summer of 2009. Our coach Jacques Joyal is offering programs specifically geared for children and teens and he can be reached at 604-741-7858. Should you be staying on the Sunshine Coast for part of the summer, please inquire with Jacques what is available in regards to safe, supervised indoor tennis programs. The children’s programs are open to both members and the general public and priced to make tennis affordable for everyone. Jacques is Tennis Canada certified ensuring that a high, consistent standard of instruction will be maintained. The racquet club has been in existence for over 25 years, and the new steel structure replaces the “Bubble” which use to reside at The Wakefield Inn in West Sechelt. It is being run by a group of volunteers as a non profit society, with the aim to provide year round tennis at an affordable cost.
